My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐱 CAT- FRIENDLY 🐱

Looking for Your Pot of Gold? 🌈 Meet Mae Mae 🌈

Mae Mae is a beautiful brindle mixed-breed who is about 5 years old, weighs around 50 lbs, and is ready to reward the right person with her treasure of love.

Here is the lowdown - Mae Mae isn’t sitting at the start of the rainbow - she is at the end. You will need patience and kindness to reach her to get to her side of the rainbow.

She’s house- and crate-trained, and she knows her commands (sit, lay down, stay). Mae Mae walks well on leash, enjoys playtime, and has her share of couch potato moments! She’s a fan of squeaky toys, bones, peanut butter kongs, and bully sticks. Dogs and cats? Yes, she’s cool with them. Kids? That’s a no-go for Mae Mae at this time.

Mae Mae might take a little time to feel comfortable. She appreciates a gentle, patient approach and notices the little things, like how you move your hands. Once she feels safe with you, her sweet and loyal nature truly shines!

If you’re looking for a loving companion who’s worth the journey, apply today and start your adventure toward the pot of gold at the end of Mae Mae’s rainbow.

Mae Mae is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and current on flea/tick prevention and heartworm preventative. Her adoption fee is $175. Apply to adopt her at PawsitiveTailsKC.org.

Go meet their pets

Where are you located?
Pawsitive Tails does not have a physical location. All of our dogs live in loving foster homes throughout the Kansas City and Topeka area. This allows fosters to get to know each dog personally, so we can find the very best home for them.

What are your hours?
As a foster based rescue, every person with Pawsitive Tails is a volunteer. Because we do not have a facility, we do not have “open” hours but can be contacted between 8am and 9pm.

Can I stop in to visit dogs and play with puppies?
No. We require an approved application to be on file before meeting our dogs/puppies. In addition, our dogs live in foster homes, so we must work around the foster parents’ schedule.

More about this rescue

Pawsitive Tails strives to be something different in the animal adoption community. We simply want to help dogs and puppies find new homes by matching the right dog to the right family.

Pawsitive Tails is a not for profit organization focused on finding forever homes for dog and puppies. We are not a shelter and we do not have a facility - all the dogs in our program live in foster homes.
