My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You will moon over this smart, adorable little boy!

Moon is everything you could want in a puppy – and he absolutely will become everything you’ll want in a lifetime canine companion too. He is 6 months old, and we think he is a mix of Whippet, Boxer and Labrador who’ll be 35-40 pounds full grown.

He has the most perfect ears that frame his insanely cute wrinkled forehead. His sweet facial expressions will slay you on a daily basis. He does a perfect head tilt, and his ears look like the flying nun when he runs across the yard.

Already, Moon knows commands like sit, down, go out and dinner. He’s working on leave it, load up and good potty. He is learning leash work and goes for daily leash walks. Moon is quick to pick up on cues and guidance of routines, so he’ll be a quick study to blend right in at your house. Smart puppy!

Moon seeks out your affection like the friendly boy he is. He likes chew toys and will play fetch with the ball for as long as you’ll throw it. He’s social with people, and he gets along well with other dogs. He is somewhat submissive to bigger dogs, but yet he’ll stand up to their nonsense when playing with them.

He is almost there on house training, and he is learning crate training. He sleeps peacefully through the night. He’s just a great boy! You'll be over the moon for him in no time.

Moon is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines and microchipped. He’ll come to you current on flea/tick prevention and heartworm preventative. His adoption fee is $175. Meet & greets will be scheduled with approved adopters from PawsitiveTailsKC.org.

Where are you located?
Pawsitive Tails does not have a physical location. All of our dogs live in loving foster homes throughout the Kansas City and Topeka area. This allows fosters to get to know each dog personally, so we can find the very best home for them.

What are your hours?
As a foster based rescue, every person with Pawsitive Tails is a volunteer. Because we do not have a facility, we do not have “open” hours but can be contacted between 8am and 9pm.

Can I stop in to visit dogs and play with puppies?
No. We require an approved application to be on file before meeting our dogs/puppies. In addition, our dogs live in foster homes, so we must work around the foster parents’ schedule.

More about this rescue

Pawsitive Tails strives to be something different in the animal adoption community. We simply want to help dogs and puppies find new homes by matching the right dog to the right family.

Pawsitive Tails is a not for profit organization focused on finding forever homes for dog and puppies. We are not a shelter and we do not have a facility - all the dogs in our program live in foster homes.
