Meet Beatrice, a charming 7-month-old black-and-white rescue kitten with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This sweet girl was adopted once but returned through no fault of her own—the senior cat in the home simply wasn’t ready to share their space. Now Beatrice is hoping to find a family who will love her for the bright, inquisitive, slightly dramatic kitten she is!
Beatrice is wonderfully vocal, especially at mealtime or when she’s looking for attention. She’ll let you know exactly what she’s thinking with her adorable little mews. She’s full of typical kitten energy—playful, curious, and always ready to explore. In new environments she may hide at first, but once she feels safe, her confident, adventurous side shines.
Around other cats, Beatrice can be a bit sassy at the start and may hiss initially, so slow introductions are strongly recommended. With the right approach, she has great potential to coexist peacefully. Her experience with dogs and children is unknown.
This girl has a few preferences and quirks that make her extra special: she loves kibble, isn’t as enthusiastic about wet food, and when she’s stressed her tummy can get a little soft—nothing unusual for a young kitty adjusting to new surroundings.
If you’re looking for a sweet, spirited companion who will keep you entertained and fill your home with personality, Beatrice might just be your perfect match. She’s ready for a fresh start, and she can’t wait to find a family to adore her.
Beatrice is from an owner surrender. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.

If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
