My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Whether you're looking for the life of the party or a pint sized snuggle buddy, Shenzi is the total package.

She likes to be where her people and friends are, but does will go and explore on her own sometimes.

She is a sassy little girl who knows what she likes and what she likes is to be the boss. She is equal parts curious, feisty, and snuggly. The only thing she is afraid of is her reflection in a mirror. And chickens (they ARE bigger than her)

Shenzi likes playing with dogs of all sizes and doesn't bother the cats.

She does sleep in a crate at night now, but dreams of snuggling in bed with her person instead.

Shenzi is is available through our foster to adopt program (must live 60 miles from Kansas City) since he/she is yet to be spayed/neutered.

Shenzi's adoption fee is $250 and includes age appropriate vaccinations, dewormer, heartworm medication, microchip and spay/neuter surgery.

More about this rescue

Lucky 13 Rescue is a federal 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the rescue and aid of homeless and neglected dogs in the Kansas City metro and surrounding rural areas. We do not limit our efforts to a specific breed, but rather strive to assist any dog that is facing neglect, homelessness, abuse or death. Our ultimate goal is to rehabilitate each canine in our care through placement in loving fosters homes until they can be carefully matched with adoptive families.
