Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Weebles — the sweetest little fighter looking for a lap to call his own.
Weebles came to us through a humane case with very little known about his past, but what we do know is that he is an incredibly gentle, loving boy who wants nothing more than to be someone’s lap kitty. Despite the challenges he faced outdoors, he has blossomed into a sweet, affectionate cat who leans in for love and soaks up every bit of attention he gets.
During his intake exam, our veterinary team noticed some neurological deficits affecting his right front and right back legs. At first, he struggled with balance but since then, Weebles has made wonderful progress—he is walking and balancing much better on all four legs and continues to show improvements as he gains strength and confidence.
We aren't certain what his symptoms stemmed from, but what we do know is that his spirit is unchanged. He may always be a little unsteady or weaker on his right side, and he may never be fully “normal,” but none of this slows him down or dampens his sweet, gentle demeanor.
Weebles is ready for his next chapter—a safe, loving home where he can curl up on someone’s lap and continue to shine. If you’re looking for a cat with a big heart and a brave spirit, Weebles is waiting for you.

More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Greater Dayton is proud to be a no-kill animal welfare agency. We are committed to finding great homes for great pets! As a 501(c)(3) nonproft, we receive no government funding and rely solely on donations from individuals, companies and grants to fund our programs and services. We are not affiliated with any other animal agency on a local, state or national level. Since 1902, our organization has been devoted to being a voice for the voiceless. Although we proudly find more than 2,000 animals forever homes every year, we are far more than an adoption center. We currently have a wide array of programs to support animals in our community. Through our high-volume spay and neuter clinic, we are able to help pet owners as well as battle cat overpopulation through Trap-Neuter-Return. Our humane society agents also work tirelessly to protect pets from cruel and neglectful circumstances through our Cruelty & Neglect Investigations Department. Through our Veterinary Hospital, we can provide top-quality access to veterinary care at a low cost to pet owners. In addition to our many programs, our organization is unique because we are the only agency in the community able to handle all types of animals. This includes cats and dogs but also rabbits, birds, farm animals, pocket pets and exotics. Our organization is committed to providing our community, our state and our region with support and care.
