December 9, 2025 Polly is happy tail wagging girl. She is about 9 years old and weighs 25 pounds. Polly has gone from skittish to playful and continues to feel more confident every day. She loves to explore and always does it with an excited skip to her step. Chasing lizards is also a great pastime. Walks are very enjoyable as she is very easy and ready to walk with people. She likes pets behind her ear and on her belly. Polly has a lot of love to give to someone willing to have patience and give her the chance to give it. She is a pretty, intelligent, and sweet dog. She would be okay with other dogs with after a proper introduction. She has not been cat tested.
Polly is cared for at the Shelter, sharing a room with her sister Cassandra. All the Shelter dogs get a walk and are fed both in the morning and the afternoon. Because of her limited potty breaks, she does not "hold it" between the afternoon walk and the next day's morning walk. We believe that with proper potty breaks or access to a backyard, she would be quickly housebroken.
