My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sherlock, a truly special little detective with the biggest ears and the cutest tufts of fluff sticking out of them. At just three months old, he’s already shown an incredible amount of resilience. Sherlock arrived at the adoption center very sick and has been on a long journey to get healthy, winning over every staff member along the way.

Because of the illness he fought through, Sherlock may always have some vision limitations and will need to be an indoor-only cat for his safety. He currently receives a daily eye ointment, and adopters will be sent home with medication and instructions so they can follow up with their personal veterinarian.

Despite everything he’s been through, Sherlock is unbelievably friendly, playful, and full of life. His sweet personality and goofy charm make him a staff favorite, and he’s sure to bring endless joy, laughter, and love to the lucky family who brings him home.

If you’re ready to open your heart to a brave, loving kitten with a big spirit, Sherlock is ready to meet you.

Adoption Fees & Process
See current fees at www.yakimahumane.org
The adoption fees help offset the cost of evaluation, housing, feeding and medical care for the thousands of animals that need our help. We do our best to keep adoption prices reasonable while generating income to support our goal of caring for animals available for adoption until we can place them in a loving home. Adoption fees help provide medical care, food and shelter to the animals in our care.
