My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Penny was brought in along with another dog Daisy after their owner decided to up and move and left them behind in the crates for several days. The home owner found them and brought them to us. These poor girls were so smelly and covered in their own excrements and very thin. We quickly got them washed up and on the road to a better life. Penny is guessed to be a Pit, maybe Vizsla Mix around 1 1/2 years old, not spayed yet due to poor health but will be before she is up for adoption. Likes other dogs, hasn't been cat tested yet. These girls deserve a much better loving home.

Our hours are Monday-Wednesday, Friday, Saturday 12-3, Thursday and Sunday Closed.

More about this shelter

Our shelter is staffed by only a few employees so we greatly depend on volunteers to help care for our animals.
We work very closely with rescue groups to help move our dogs out of the shelter quickly. Our goal is to never have to euthanize for space. We cannot do that without rescue assistance because our adoption rates are very low.
