Purrkins has been in foster care with her sister Sparkles. They've enjoyed their stay, but they're ready to roll into your home and into your heart! Purrkins is very shy at first, but when she warms up to you, she's very sweet and loving. She will even sit on your shoulder and watch cartoons while you pet her head! She is a playful kitten and enjoys romping with her sister. If you're thinking about adopting multiple kittens, Sparkles would be the purrfect companion for her--and you. Why not double your fun?
Ready to Adopt a Kitten?
You have two options:
#1- VISIT IN PERSON
Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You’ll be able to meet available kittens in the shelter.
(Kittens in foster care are not available for in-person visits.)
#2- ADOPT SIGHT UNSEEN
If you’re ready to adopt without meeting the kitten first, we can help over the phone or by email. (413) 781-4000 x 1 springfield@dakinhumane.org. We are often helping other clients when you call, but we return voicemails and emails within 24 hours.
Kittens are adopted on a first come, first served basis, and we’re not able to place holds on them.
All kitten adoption fees include;
-spay/neuter
-rabies vaccination (if over 12 weeks of age)
-current on distemper vaccines (will need additional boosters with your veterinarian)
-FeLV blood test
-microchip implanted & registered to the adopter
-treatment of fleas/ticks/ear mites
-veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin
-free vet exam within 30 days after adoption with participating veterinarians
Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your new pet.
