Benedict is a super friendly, low-key cat who mostly minds his own business until he senses you might love him, then he’s happy to rub against you for some TLC. He’s affectionate without being clingy and does especially well with older children. Benedict was adopted from the Humane Society in Tampa and was born on February 12, 2021. He’s a professional lounger who loves sleeping on or under blankets and thinks laser pointers and crinkly paper are elite entertainment. We’re hoping his next home has the capacity to truly care for him, not just keep him alive. He thrives with brushing, playtime, and attention. One important note: Benedict does not enjoy having his nails trimmed simply because we didn’t trim them often enough when he was a kitten, so he never got used to it. He’s not aggressive, just not a fan, and will do best with someone patient who can work around that or help him get more comfortable over time.
