Cappy is a 4 year old tuxedo neutered male cat, who came into my foster care on January 24th this year. He arrived at SpokAnimal through a transport from Hawaii. There is not much known about his life before his arrival to Spokane, WA. He must have been in some type of accident, as part of his R hind leg is missing. This was an old injury, as his paw and part of his lower leg is missing. It has healed well and does not affect his mobility.
Cappy was withdrawn and very fearful when he came into my life. There was even a question whether he would bite, out of sheer anxiety. This has never happened.
It has taken time, patience and love to allow Cappy to feel comfortable and trust me implicitly. He’s not a lap cat, but does enjoy being petted, belly rubs, and playing with jingle balls.
At first he preferred a safe secure place to feel less stressed, but now roams around his room. Cappy loves to sleep underneath a blanket draped over a chair. As soon as you call his name, he will vocalize in return. His most favorite place is at the top of a cat tree, where he looks out the window, as the day unfolds.
Cappy is on a normal kibble diet and simply adores Churo treats. He will lick the contents of the tube off your finger!
All in all Cappy has come a long way. He has only been in foster care for less than a month. This is a major achievement! He’s truly a wonderful cat and would love to have a forever home.
