My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Hanibo!

Hanibo is a truly special soul with an incredible story of resilience. This 4 year old male mixed breed was saved from the streets of China by the Soi Dog Foundation after being found hit by a car and suffering from severe maggot wounds. Thanks to their dedicated care, he healed from his fracture and eye removal surgery. Today, he is medically cleared and safe with Almost Home, waiting for the family he deserves.

Hanibo passed his cat test and does wonderfully with other dogs. He’s super friendly, lovable, and ready to pour all his affection into his forever home. Despite everything he’s been through, his heart is wide open.

Let’s find this brave, beautiful boy the loving family he’s been waiting for!

More about this shelter

Almost Home is a 501c3 not-for-profit that rescues and rehomes abandoned and neglected dogs/cats from local shelter, shelters in rural down south, owner surrenders, and from the streets of Puerto Rico and dogs from the street of Thailand that are destined for the horrific dog meat trade on China.
