Walter is a 12-year-old beagle with a gentle soul and a big heart. Rescued from the streets of Kansas City, Missouri, he’s learning how to start life fresh—and he’s doing wonderfully. He has some age-related eyesight and hearing issues, but he gets around well. Walter just needs a couple of weeks in a new home to learn the layout and find all the comfy beds he loves. He’s adjusted beautifully to his foster home, is fully crate-trained, and has no accidents indoors.

Adoption Fee: Walter's adoption fee is sponsored by a generous donor!
TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming. TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL.
Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed. Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines:
Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
X-Large 101 lbs (46 kg) or more
