Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Maximilano (Max) – Your Soft-Hearted Shadow
11 months old • Male • Husky Mix
Maximilano — or Max, if you’re on a nickname basis — is the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart while you’re not even looking. He’s shy and gentle, but every day he grows a little braver, a little more curious, and a lot more wonderful. Max was surrendered when his family moved into an apartment and felt he deserved a yard where he could really run, play, and thrive. They shared that he is house-trained and crate-trained, loves car rides, walks well on leash, and is friendly with adults, kids, dogs, and even cats. He was described as not destructive in the home — just a good boy who needed more space than apartment life could offer. At the shelter, Max tends to ignore the chaos around him and sticks close to the people he trusts. Recently he went on a Doggie Day Out with his favorite volunteer, and the update was pure gold: he needed a little help getting into the car at first, but once he was in, he happily rode shotgun like a seasoned road-trip buddy. At home, Max met the volunteer’s two smaller dogs and got along great with them. He was calm, relaxed, and perfectly content chewing on his favorite bones — no wild husky antics here, just peaceful vibes and gentle company. Max is looking for a patient, loving home that will let him keep building confidence at his own pace. If you’re into sweet souls, quiet companionship, and watching a shy pup bloom into his best self, Max might just be your guy.
