My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I'm Crockett! I am six months old (born May 1) and I am living at Desert Haven until I get adopted. Here at Desert Haven I have always had roommates because I meet every dog in a happy and friendly way. I am submissive when needed or I can take the lead in the play. I'm good with cats too. Cats are a little different from me and I think that's curious and neat. And people? Boy howdy! Young, old, and everything in between - I love each and every hooman on the planet! Wanna know why?

Because they have hands and hearts. Hands are for petting me because there is no such thing as too much belly rubs. Hands are for clapping for me when I do a good sit because I love to bask in your praise. Hands are for holding my leash because I really enjoy going for walks. And hearts! Oh, hearts!

I have an enormous one so I really want a family that can match the love in my heart. My family should want a goodest boy with a heart of gold. I am tender and sweet. Playful and happy. Plus, I can lounge and nap with the best of em. To be honest, I am equally happy with a do-nothing day lounging on the sofa while you read or watch Netflix as I am to get in my harness and go for a hike. I am not one of those go-go-go puppies though I am ready to go to the patio at the Brewery when you are. But above all, snuggling is one of my favorite pastimes so I will put in my order now for a family who wants a puppy who loves being affectionate.

Here's how it will probably go when you come to meet me: When I see you and I catch your eye, I will lay down and show you my belly so you can rub it. Once you start rubbing it we'll lock eyes and then good luck to you because the Belly Rub Invitation is my speciality and very few people can resist it. Best to bring a collar and leash along because if you have loving hands, room in your heart, and the want for the best puppy ever -- you'll be making me yours.

See you soon. Love, Crockett
