My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

With a name as magical as her personality, Mystique is a 1 year-old pup who brings joy wherever she goes 🌟. This sweet Shepherd mix—because let’s be honest, we’re just guessing based on her looks!—may be a little shy at first, especially when exploring new places. But give her a few tasty treats and a sprinkle of patience, and she’ll blossom into the playful, loving companion she’s meant to be 💕.

Mystique is all about water fun! She’s happiest when there’s a kiddie pool to splash in or a hose to chase—she’s a true aqua-adventurer 🌊🐾. She also gets along great with other dogs, especially in smaller groups where she can show off her social side. Smart and curious, she thrives on gentle encouragement and is ready to soak up all the love a family can offer.

Whether you're into backyard play or lazy lounging after a good splash session, Mystique is ready to be by your side. She’s spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines. If you're looking for a dog who's equal parts gentle soul and water-loving goofball, Mystique just might be your perfect match!

More about this rescue

The vision of Animal Compassion Team has been years in the making, shaped by hard work, heartbreak, and an unwavering love for animals. Despite the challenges, we chose this path because saving lives matters—it's that simple. Every dog, cat, and animal we rescue reaffirms our commitment to making a difference. In August 2009, we took a leap of faith and became a 501(c)3 non-profit, ready to turn hope into action. Each life saved makes every effort worthwhile, and we look forward to sharing countless happy endings.

Our Mission Statement
To provide a safe haven for animals of all breeds and species through rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, and sanctuary. To advocate for humane treatment, promote the human-animal bond, and educate about kindness, compassion, and responsible pet ownership, emphasizing spaying and neutering. Together with other rescues and shelters, we strive toward a no-kill nation.
