My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Digit, or Diggie as my foster mom calls me. She thinks all doggies should have names that end in a vowel.

I am having a wonderful time in my foster home running around in the backyard, playing with the resident dogs, playing with toys. When I first arrived I jumped up constantly, I don't know why, but my foster person thinks I was always behind a fence and had to jump up for attention. I have learned not to jump up but rather to sit. When I sit I get the pets and love that I crave. I have also learned not to rush the back sliding door. When my foster person opens the door I sit, then I wait for her to tell me I can come in. When I come in I go straight to my crate because there is always food in it!

I have come a long way in just a few weeks, from knowing anything, not even sit! - to now sitting instead of jumping (most of the time) and sitting and waiting for the command to come in the house. I am very good in my crate and I happily stay in there all night with no whining or barking. I've never soiled in the house (but my foster person keeps me close to her at all times in the house so I don't have the opportunity to make a mistake).

My energy is boundless - I can play, play, play all day! I wear out the two resident dogs even though they are young and playful too. I would love to be part of an active family or person who runs, hikes, plays with me and with my toys. Although I don't have any experience yet, I think I might be quite good at sports like Frisbee or agility. I am very fast and nimble and love praise.

I have been labeled a husky mix, which is almost certainly true as I have the telltale heterochromia (aka bi-colored) eyes - one is piercing blue, the other is amber. My gaze is striking and overall I am a very handsome pup! I may have some border collie too given my high activity level. And probably other breeds also. Maybe even some bunny rabbit as my dark fur is very soft, just like a bunny.

I love people, I love other dogs, I love life! I am always happy!
