Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ellie is an adorable 3-month-old hound mix with a heart as big as her puppy paws. She’s sweet, loving, playful, and honestly just too cute for words. Ellie is the kind of puppy who lights up the room, wiggles her whole body with excitement, and then melts right into your arms for cuddles. She loves to play, explore, and make new friends, and she’s ready to grow up with a family who will cherish her. Whether you want a snuggle buddy, a little shadow, or a playful best friend, Ellie is the whole package.

More about this shelter
Friends of DeKalb County-AL Animal Adoption Center is a 501c3, non profit, all volunteer, foster based rescue and not the shelter staff.
Our mission is to improve visibility and increase awareness of the countless number of abandoned, homeless animals located in the DeKalb County-AL Animal Shelter, with the ultimate goal being to unite these deserving animals with the perfect family to call their own.

However, we can not do this alone. There are numerous ways that you can help in this effort, including volunteering, educating, donating, fostering a pet until it is adopted and sharing pictures of animals that are posted on our page.
The list of ways to help is endless and can be tailored to meet whatever your needs may be.
