Lance is truly a big old boy at heart. He’s large, he’s lovable, and yes—he’s got that hilarious “honky” bark that makes everyone smile. What makes him special, though, is how grounded and easy he is to live with. He adores being near his human and leans in for attention, but he’s also perfectly content hanging out independently. If you leave him in the yard, he’ll pick the comfiest sun-patch and settle right in like an oversized house cat.
He and his best friend Maggie are playtime soulmates, and the two of them can be left alone together for short stretches with no issues. Lance knows how to walk on a leash, has been to multiple dog-friendly events, and has handled crowds, dogs, and noise like a champ. Inside the home, he’ll give you full couch-potato energy; outside, he’ll happily go romp and stretch his legs. He’s the definition of an easy dog to live with and would thrive in almost any home that wants a loving, steady companion.

•Conduct phone/facetime meeting for us to get to know you, what you're looking for in a dog, for you to learn more about the dog you're interested in and virtually meet the dog
•If local, do a meet and greet with the dog. If out of state, further discuss the dog's personality, how we think they'd do in your specific home environment, etc

•Sign adoption contract and pay adoption fee
•Take your new family member home! (If out of state, transport will be arranged at a time and date convenient to you)
