Buccee is a very intelligent, loyal dog who came to us after my fiancée’s mom passed away. We inherited him because his original caretaker—my fiancée’s sister—told us she could keep him but later admitted she wasn’t allowed to have dogs in her apartment.
He’s a smart boy who learns quickly and wants to please, but he needs more time and attention inside a home than we can realistically provide. We already have three indoor dogs and a cat, so keeping him inside full-time just isn’t possible. When he’s indoors and uncrated, he tends to bark a lot and has accidents, so for now we’ve had to keep him mostly outside or in a crate when he’s in the house.
He’s not a bad dog—he’s just a dog who never got the structure, consistency, and training he needed early on, especially with everything that happened after his original owner passed. With the right environment, patience, and someone who can give him the one-on-one time he deserves, Buccee has the potential to be an amazing companion.
