Luna is the sweetest little girl who loves being around people. She’ll follow you around the house as soon as you wake up and will be a great companion. She is very playful and active, especially when it comes to her blue string toy that makes noise – which will come with her if you choose to adopt her. She is not shy around strangers and will let you pet her as much as you want. She likes sitting on the bed and the couch with her owners, purring just because she is next to them.
Luna was rescued in Bahrain and brought to Canada. She was infected with FIP when she was a baby, and strongly fought the infection and is now fully treated after a long treatment process. As a side effect of this disease, she is almost fully blind. She has adapted very well to blindness and figures out her way around the house very easily, although cautious at times. She is able to get on top of couches and beds, especially on her favorite location on the sofa cushion. Her lack of sight does not stop her from venturing in the weirdest locations and crevices in the house; she wants to know everything! She might bump her head at times and have a hard time locating her water in the beginning, but these quirks aren't an obstacle for her to do anything she wants.
She has eye drops she has to take twice a day (every 12 hours), can require occasional ophthalmologist visits, and other than that does not require any special care – except for an organized house without constant major furniture changes! She would also benefit from the attention, fun, and love you give, as her lack of sight might sometimes make her feel lonely.
If you are looking for an enduring friend who will always give you warmth and amuse you at times, Luna is the cat for you!

Additional adoption info
Adoption fee is $225 per adult cat, and $300 for kittens (under 8 months old).
This ensures that the cats that come into our care receive the attention they need, are spayed or neutered, and receive a rabies vaccination at the appropriate age. For City of Toronto residents, the adoption fee includes a mandatory City of Toronto cat license that is valid for one year. As you can imagine, these fees only begin to cover our costs; donations and ongoing fundraising efforts carry us the rest of the way!
Note:
-Senior cats (8 years or older) have an adoption fee of the adopter's choice, vs. our standard adult adoption fee of $225.
-Our adoption fee for an adult bonded pair (8 months or older) is $175 per cat vs. $225 per cat. Thanks for giving two loving friends a home together!
