Welcome Kai to CCPAL Rescue foster program. Kai is a very sweet pup. She is a German Shepherd/Smooth Collie (BorderCollie) She weighs about 33 pounds and should stay medium sized. She is good on a leash, good with other dogs. She is mostly with her sister in her foster home. She uses a doggy door and is good on leash and in a car. She is fully potty trained and very smart. She is good with children and likes toys. She would be best with someone that is active and outdoorsy. She would be fine as an only dog or would be good with another dog. She will be a fun one to train. She has good eye contact and attention to who is speaking with her. She has one upright ear and one that is not. She is getting her vaccinations and will be spayed and ready for her forever home. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. She would be a great family companion and could go with children. We like children to be 8 or older. Please be patient when you put in your application. Adoption fee for Kia is $400 and transport is $200. This is a very desirable breed mix. We are being very careful in vetting people and we are a small group of volunteers. You will fill out an application. We will call references, do a background check and call your vet. We will then do an interview with you and let you speak to the foster mom or kennel staff that know the dogs best. Once completed we are ready to set up transport to your area. Our adoption fee is 200 and transport aboard Rescue Road Trips is 185.

We promote low-cost spay/neuter programs; advise on basic health care & proper shelter for pets & offer excellent dog obedience classes several times each year. Our fostering program & training classes socialize pets & help make them more adoptable. Since February 2002, C.C.P.A.L. has rescued nearly 5,000 animals. We currently house 100+ dogs and puppies and are in constant need of foster homes for these pets until we find them permanent homes.
