My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cherise!
This tiny senior sweetheart may have a few age-related quirks—terrible teeth, limited eyesight, some hearing loss, and a little wobble to her walk—but none of that slows down her ability to love with her whole heart.

Cherise absolutely adores being held and snuggling close. At just 9 pounds, she’s the perfect lap companion and will patiently follow you around, always hoping it’s time to curl up together. She’s 10+ years old and a chihuahua mix with the gentlest soul.

Cherise is looking for a soft place to land, a warm lap, and someone who appreciates the quiet, unconditional love only a senior dog can give. She deserves a forever home where she’ll be cherished for the rest of her days. 💛

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
