Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! Im Nucleus, the Amazing Foster Dog, @NucleustheAmazingFosterDog. You can find me on Instagram with that handle. Im super goofy, from my bow-legged strut to the awkward positions I sleep in on my humans couch. Ive got my own style, and I own it! My snorts are my way of conveying my happiness/ eagerness about people and things. You can find me on my morning 2.5 Mile sniffari along the Beltline on the Westside, dragging my humans along because Im a puller, sploofing my chicken legs on the tile floor in my foster fams kitchen, or playing through the baby gate with my feline roommates who enjoy antagonizing me. When Im REALLY excited, I buck like a horse and run zoomies inside. My humans tell me Im hilarious!

Im an older dog that knows how to let you know what I need! When I need to go outside for a walk, Ill let you know by giving you some love nibbles, scratching at the door, or barking occasionally. Im not a food-motivated dog, (although I really enjoy vanilla Greek yogurt), but I LOVE routine. I know what Im supposed to do from my nighttime crate routine to my first morning bathroom run. If this routine isnt followed, I let my humans know thats NOT OK! I play all day with my bestie, Proton, who is also a Lifeline foster. Shes higher energy than me, so sometimes I like to sit out on the porch just to get away from her/ have a moment of peace/ nap in the sun. I nap a lot and have an EPIC snore game. You will be impressed by the awkward sleeping positions and snores youll hear! Im good for a few short walks throughout the day to explore/ take care of business, but if its raining, I love to curl up with my favorite teenager for a Netflix binge or chewing on my chew toys. My humans think I am the dog equivalent of Eeyore, from Winnie the Pooh. My current watching faves are Stranger Things and Abbott Elementary reruns.

I have regular playdates with friends where I get some off-leash time with other dogs my size. These are MY FAVES! I LOVE other dogs and would do well in a household of dogs vs. cats (which is what I have now; its the pits! The cats are so MEAN! All I want to do is play with them like I do with Proton!) I get excited for puppy play dates and I direct my humans to the car so they know I want to go! Hikes are fun too! I want to befriend EVERYONE! My humans are trying to teach me that not everyone loves saying hey to dogs, and this is hard for me to understand on our walks. They call this leash reactivity, but Im just trying to play! They just wont let me be great!
