My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lola is a very sweet and gentle dog. My father recently passed away, and she was by his side for the last three years. I moved from California to care for him, and since then Lola has been understandably hesitant to bond—she was incredibly devoted to my dad.

He has another labradoodle who has attached to me completely, and I’ll be keeping him. But I feel Lola may thrive better in a home where someone is around often and can give her the consistency, patience, and sense of safety she needs.

She loves being outside, napping on the couch, and simply being near someone once she trusts them. She’s not aggressive at all—just timid and grieving, and she warms up slowly.

The photos are recent. The one of her lying on my father’s hospital bed shows how she refused to leave him. It was heartbreaking but also incredibly beautiful.

I can keep her if needed, but I truly want what’s best for her. If you’re interested in giving Lola a loving, stable home, please reach out.

Thank you.

John
