My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jack! 🐾🖤

Jack is an adorable black kitten with the sweetest little personality and bright, curious eyes that sparkle with mischief. This handsome boy is playful, energetic, and full of kitten charm — the kind that instantly makes you smile.

Jack loves exploring new spaces, batting at toys, and pouncing around with all the enthusiasm only a kitten can offer. Once he’s had his adventures, he’s more than happy to curl up close for cuddles and quiet moments. With his soft fur and gentle purrs, he’s the perfect balance of fun and affection.

If you’re looking for a sweet, lovable kitten who will grow into a wonderful lifelong companion, Jack is ready to join your family and fill your home with joy. 🖤

You can view our available animals online or by visiting the shelter during regular business hours. Our knowledgeable and compassionate staff are here to guide you through the adoption process, which includes completing an application and having a conversation to ensure you’re fully informed and prepared to welcome a new pet into your home.

If you find an animal on our website that you’re interested in, we kindly ask that you visit the shelter to meet them in person before submitting your application. This helps ensure the best possible match for both you and the animal.

More about this shelter

The Gulf Coast Humane Society is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization dedicated to serving the animals and community of Southwest Florida. We receive no federal, state, or county funding, nor do we receive financial support from the Humane Society of the United States. Instead, our lifesaving work is made possible through the generosity of individual donations, grants, bequests, and community fundraising efforts.

As a no kill shelter, Gulf Coast Humane Society is committed to providing compassionate care for unwanted, neglected, and abandoned animals. We never euthanize due to space constraints or the length of time an animal has been in our care. Our mission is to give every animal the second chance they deserve in a safe and loving environment.
