My foster writes; Hi, I'm June, and I proudly wear the crown of Miss Independent. At 7 years young, I haven't spent a ton of time around hoomans, but I'm ready to find my person - someone patient, gentle, and willing to let me settle in at my own pace. I love exploring every nook and cranny of the home so I can choose the perfect nap spot (and map out a few escape routes... just in case). I'll gladly accept short, calm petting sessions as long as you approach me slowly and respectfully - boundaries are important to a girl like me! If you're looking for a low-maintenance companion who doesn't need constant attention and is happy to coexist peacefully, I'm your gal. Give me time, space, and kindness, and I'll reward you with quiet companionship.

June tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in an experienced, adult only home.

Animal Care Centers of NYC encourages everyone to come to one of our three full service Care Centers when looking to adopt a pet. Beautiful dogs, cats, guinea pigs and rabbits are anxiously waiting a home to call their own.

All ACC adoptions include vaccinations, a microchip, spay/neuter, one month of free pet health insurance, and a free office visit at a participating veterinarian.
