Meet Missy: A Gentle Soul in Need of Love
Missy is a stunning 10 year old gray tabby whose world was turned upside down when her beloved mom passed away. She was deeply cherished, sleeping by her side in bed every night, and now finds herself grieving and confused in the shelter.
This sweet senior girl is shy and timid at first, but once she feels safe, her true heart shines through. Missy adores gentle pets, curling up on a warm lap, and being close to the people she trusts. She has so much love to give, but shelter life has left her shut down, depressed, and struggling.
Her family shared that Missy has always done best with women, and since she was the only pet, we’re unsure how she’d do with other animals. What we do know is that Missy longs for a quiet, loving home where she can heal and feel safe again on someone’s lap.
Missy is not just a cat, she’s a grieving companion who deserves comfort, patience, and a second chance at love. She’s waiting for someone to open their heart and home to her, so she can once again be the cherished lap cat she was meant to be.

Once you hit submit, it will come straight to our adoptions email. Once your application has been processed, our adoptions team will reach out with you to schedule a meet and greet.

We are an animal hospital in Sterling Heights Michigan that is also a licensed shelter.
We take on dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens in need. We vet all of our adoptable animals and take the utmost care of them until we can find them their perfect loving forever homes.
All of our adoptable pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, receive fecal testing and treatment, and are microchipped before adoption.
Our dogs are heartworm tested and kept on prevention here with us. We do require that they stay on year round heartworm prevention after going home.
Our cats are all triple tested for FIV, FelV, and Heartworm disease before adoption.
