My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tootsie, a petite black-and-white tuxedo beauty with a huge heart! At just 6.5 pounds, this dainty girl spent far too long waiting in a crowded local shelter before finally landing safely in foster care—and now she’s ready for her forever home.

Tootsie is incredibly affectionate and thrives on closeness with her people. She loves to be held, happily curls up in your lap, and rewards every cuddle with loud, contented purrs. If you’re looking for a cat who wants all the pets and will be your constant companion, Tootsie is your girl. We think she'd enjoy another cat companion, too.

Her foster mom says she’s one of the absolute sweetest cats she’s ever cared for. Tootsie’s small size makes her perfectly suited for apartment living, but her loving personality will fill your home in a big way. She’s ready to give her whole heart to someone who will love her forever. 💕. Meet her in Alexandria, VA Posted 12/11/25

Additional adoption info

We strive to make the "purr-fect" match through our interview and application process. Adoption fees, which range from $165-$185, include all medical work (FELV/FIV testing, shots; spay/neuter, etc); home visits may be required prior to final placement. The majority of our kittens are only available for adoption in pairs or as a companion to another young cat/kitten already in the home. Sorry, but we do not adopt very young kittens to families with children under 6 yrs old due to safety concerns for both child and kitten. Adopters also receive a certificate for a free comprehensive wellness exam at any Caring Hands Animal Hospital.

Go meet their pets

All of our cats are cared for in cage-free private foster homes; therefore, we request an application be completed before setting up appointments to meet them. Request an application by emailing us through our website. Adopters must live within a reasonable driving distance to No. VA ( maximum 60 minutes); we do not ship/transport our animals.

More about this rescue

We are a small, private feline-only rescue group dedicated to the rescue, care and placement of homeless cats and kittens. We do not have a shelter and rely on a group of dedicated foster homes to care for our felines until a "fur-ever" home can be found. We actively promote the importance of spaying and neutering and best practices in companion animal care. The majority of our cats/kittens come from high-kill shelters. We do not receive any government funding and rely on private contributions, 100% of which go to provide medical care, food and supplies.
