Meet Dawn – The Sweet Sidekick Who’ll Follow You Into Every New Day
Dawn is a 3-year-old, 30-pound poodle mix with a heart as soft as her curls and a loyal streak that could put a superhero’s sidekick to shame. Once she decides you’re “her person,” congratulations—you now have your own fluffy shadow. Bathroom breaks, coffee runs, quick trips to the mailbox… Dawn is committed to the role.
She likes other dogs, enjoys companionship, and is fully vaccinated, spayed, and officially ready to join her forever family. Dawn came from a hoarding situation, but despite her tough beginning, she’s blossoming into a snuggly, affectionate girl who just wants a safe place and someone to adore.
Dawn does get a little anxious around smaller children (tiny humans are unpredictable), but she should do great with older kiddos who understand the concept of “personal space” and don’t greet her like a surprise confetti cannon.
She would absolutely thrive with someone who works from home, is retired, or just wants a loyal buddy for daily life. Need moral support while answering emails? She’s there. Want a coworker who never steals your snacks? Dawn is your girl.

Hay Dude Equine Rescue, in Boerne, TX, does not have a shelter - ALL of our dogs, are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. Each pup comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations that are appropriate for their age, microchipped, heartworm tested and on current on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.
ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE OF $200.00 FOR LOCAL DOGS AND $300.00 FOR PUPPIES. ( Local is in the state of Texas)! Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption.
IF THIS IS AN OUT OF STATE ADOPTION, TRANSPORT TO YOU is included in the adoption fee of $400.00 for adult dogs and $500.00 for puppies. We transport all over the country!!
All our dogs are socialized and we try to provide you a good understanding of the dog’s personality.
