Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Oreo Pie got his name because he’s truly sweet as pie. Before being rescued, this little guy was abandoned in a backyard, tied to a tree, and survived thanks to kind neighbors who fed him for a month. When his foster mama saved him, he was severely matted and had to be shaved down to the skin. Since then, he’s learned what it feels like to be safe, loved, and comfortable—and now he happily snores the day away in his doggie bed.
Oreo Pie hasn’t met a person he doesn’t adore and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He’s potty trained, crate trained, and an easy-going, laid-back little man who LOVES food. If he’s hungry (or thinks you’re moving too slow), he’ll let you know—and may even bring you his food bowl as a reminder!
Oreo Pie will require regular, lifelong grooming to keep him comfortable and mat-free, but he’s absolutely worth it. This sweet boy is ready for a forever family to spoil him the way he deserves.
Local adoption fee is $200(in TX)
Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area)

Additional adoption info
Adoption application required for dogs. However, because it stresses cats to be confined and transported with dogs long distances, we do not transport our cats. They are local to Texas only. Thank you.
Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..
If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.

We are a TEXAS based rescue who transport regularly to this area. Our dogs are in TEXAS and will be transported to you if you adopt from us.
Our pets are posted on our website, and most live in homes with their fosters. We live with our foster dogs to get to know them in a home setting and to let them know that life can be good away from the streets.
We work to correct poor behaviors, teach manners and observe each dogs particular quirks and personalities so we can give accurate observations of the dogs you are interested in.
We know that dogs will sometimes behave differently with different people but we can give you our impressions of our pups and situations they have been in.
