My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

#A5739125 Meet Roxy , a 3-year-old Pitbull girl who turns heads with her sparkling champagne-colored coat and striking light eyes that gleam with excitement. ✨ Even though she’s about 10 pounds underweight and absolutely deserving of all the pampering, she’s still a sturdy little lowrider - like taking a very enthusiastic bowling ball out for a walk! She’s currently being treated for a mild doggy cold, but that hasn’t slowed her eagerness to explore, sniff the world, and make new friends. This social butterfly has truly never met a person or pup she didn’t like. That said, she got a bit too excited around a tiny dog, so she’s best suited for a home with no cats or small dogs. If you’re looking for a joyful, people-loving companion with a heart of gold, Roxy is ready to roll right into your life!

-3 year old tan Pitbull mix

-63 pound female

-up to date on all shots and preventatives, so ready to go home with you today! However, Roxy has a little doggy cold, which is already being treated, so she hasn’t been spayed yet - she will need to be adopted on a health waiver, adopter to follow up with own vet for further diagnostics and potential treatment

-came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 11/17/25 as an owner surrender - but we have no notes and no idea why, as Roxy is a big sweetie!

-very strong and pulls a bit on leash, so needs a confident handler; may be potty trained and familiar with basic commands, but we only had her for a bit due to her cold and couldn’t confirm everything

More about this rescue

United Hope for Animals is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to creating a world where our relationship with animals is guided by compassion and responsibility. We actively work toward bringing an end to the needless suffering of companion animals through community-based programs here at home and across the border.

The United States euthanizes more than one million dogs and cats each year. Through our Shelter Support Program, we work in partnership with local shelters to reduce this number by raising public awareness about shelter adoption and facilitating rescue and adoption of sheltered animals. In the process, we bring dignity and hope to the many lives that would otherwise pass anonymously through the animal control system.
