My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Wobble and I am a sun conure. I live with my bonded buddy Gobble and we need to be adopted together. I desperately as my former family didn't have time to work with me or to feed my a healthy diet. I am tame and can step up after I get to know you. I love to chew up and destroy toys! I am eating a healthy diet now of pellets, veggies and fruit with a little seed. My adoption fee is $200 and so is Gobbles.

Step 2: Phone interview
Step 3: Initial visit with birds
Step 4: Second visit and take home bird
Please Note: the adoption fee does not include a cage, but we do sometimes have used cages for sale. A few days worth of food is included, and usually each bird comes with at least one free toy.

Burge Bird Rescue is attached to Burge Bird Services, a 100% avian veterinary hospital in the south Kansas City Missouri area. We are a no-kill nonprofit shelter for all kinds of birds from finches to macaws, from pigeons to ducks. Many of our birds have special needs, and no bird is ever turned away due to medical issues. In 2013 we helped over 300 birds in need!
