Meet Davy

Davy is an eighteen month old sweetheart with a gentle soul and a striking white knight look that turns heads wherever he goes. He is friendly, curious, loyal, and incredibly loving once he feels safe. There is something special about him that makes people slow down and lean in.

Energy and Personality
Davy enjoys regular exercise and enrichment. He loves long walks, active play, and spending time with his people. He is affectionate and soft natured. He may cower briefly with new experiences, but trust comes quickly. Each day he grows more confident, playful, and relaxed.

Training and Behavior
Davy is house trained, leash trained, and crate trained. He can be crated with no issues or left with the crate door open and access to a pen. He does not try to escape. He is working on sit, wait, and down. He comes running for kissy noises. Hot dogs and cheese are his idea of luxury paychecks. Praise works just as well. He melts for chin and neck scratches.

Social Life
Davy is good with other dogs and new people. He enjoys interaction and does well in social settings once he settles. He bonds closely with his people and wants to be part of daily life.

His Story
Davy came from a full shelter where he spent at least six months of his short life. He arrived underweight and worn down, but his spirit stayed intact. Despite his past, he is trusting, forgiving, and ready to love.
