My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Little Mikey, a loving and sweet cuddle bug ready to complete your family!

Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat

Mikey and his littermates (Joselito, Patti, and Jasmine) were found stranded at a local gym. After being rescued at just a few weeks old, they are now safe and sound and living the indoor "gym life"!

Mikey is ready to be your new best friend. He loves to play and is an expert at running on the cat wheel and chasing toys around the house. He's a constant source of entertainment!

Little Mikey is the definition of a Curious Kitten... He wants to know everything you're doing and LOVES to try and help. He just adores being in the middle of the action and hanging out with his favorite humans, no matter what the activity is! This cutie pie is a huge fan of snuggle time as well. He loves curling up on your lap and taking a nap.

Mikey Moo is a special guy with a big heart and so much love to give. He is more than ready to meet his perfect match -- could it be you?!

Mikey and his siblings (Joselito, Patti, and Jasmine) are ~5 months old, spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and in great health. They do a great job of keeping their litterbox tidy. All they need now is a forever home!

The Gym Kitties have never met a dog, but with slow introductions to a calm, cat-savvy pup, we think they could learn to love a new dog friend. They are so excited they get to live the inside cat life!!

The adoption application can be found here:

https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat

Mikey, Joselito, Patti, and Jasmine are currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along these routes.

ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES:

When you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you're doing more than giving your new family member a home. Each adoption fee pays for a cat on the streets of Houston to get fixed, helping end the cycle of overpopulation in a rough environment. We thank you so much for your contribution to our efforts! Please use the application at the link above rather than submitting interest via the Petfinder website.

Once you have submitted your application at the link above, an Adoption Coordinator will reach out to you to set up an interview for approval to adopt.

Please note that submitting an application does not “reserve” a specific pet. If the pet you have applied for is no longer available, we will do our best to match you with another adoptable pet!

More about this rescue

ROSES (Reducing Overpopulation: Spay/Neuter Education & Support) exists to conduct outreach, community education, fundraising, and service navigation to encourage spay/neuter for dogs and cats in overpopulated communities.

"ROSES Rescues" is an offshoot of this mission that helps the strays, rescue transfers, and owner surrenders that our volunteers and partners encounter and need help matching with forever homes.

We are located in Houston, Texas and are a FULLY foster-based rescue with no physical shelter location. We proudly transport our kitties to wonderful adopters in the Northeast, Pacific Northwest, Colorado, and locations along those routes, so please feel free to check out our pets and see if we have a transport spot close to you!
