My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rooster!

Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat

Rooster and his Top Gun siblings (Maverick and Goose) are an adorable trio of tuxedo boys found under a bush in Houston. They were rescued and are safe and sound now -- they have adjusted very quickly to the good life indoors and are ready for a home of their own!

The Top Gun kittens are new to our foster program and we are still getting to know their personalities. We will update their bios soon with even more info!

Rooster is the smallest of the bunch, with tiny little white mittens and soulful eyes. He loves to be held, and is quite the explorer. He’s always the first to check out a new toy, something shiny, or explore a new and exciting area of his foster home. He’s also a very talented cat tree climber and a professional snuggler.

These boys love to explore, wrestle, climb up their cat trees, and cuddle up together. They are a constant source of entertainment and will bring a smile to their new family’s faces!

Rooster is ~3 months old, in great health, and will be neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. He does a great job of keeping his litterbox tidy. All he needs now is his forever home!

Priority will be given to applicants interested in adopting a pair of kittens or who have patient, playful resident cats or dogs at home. He's never met a dog, but with slow introductions to a calm, cat-savvy pup, we think he could learn to love a new dog friend.

Adopt Rooster and maybe one (or two!) of his adorable siblings, and double the love, double the purrs, and double the fun.

Information on why adopting two kittens is better for their short- and long-term health can be found here: http://www.kittenlady.org/twokittens

Maverick, Goose, and Rooster are currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along these routes.

ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES:

When you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you're doing more than giving your new family member a home. Each adoption fee pays for a cat on the streets of Houston to get fixed, helping end the cycle of overpopulation in a rough environment. We thank you so much for your contribution to our efforts! Please use the application at the link above rather than submitting interest via the Petfinder website.

Once you have submitted your application at the link above, an Adoption Coordinator will reach out to you to set up an interview for approval to adopt.

Please note that submitting an application does not “reserve” a specific pet. If the pet you have applied for is no longer available, we will do our best to match you with another adoptable pet!

More about this rescue

ROSES (Reducing Overpopulation: Spay/Neuter Education & Support) exists to conduct outreach, community education, fundraising, and service navigation to encourage spay/neuter for dogs and cats in overpopulated communities.

"ROSES Rescues" is an offshoot of this mission that helps the strays, rescue transfers, and owner surrenders that our volunteers and partners encounter and need help matching with forever homes.

We are located in Houston, Texas and are a FULLY foster-based rescue with no physical shelter location. We proudly transport our kitties to wonderful adopters in the Northeast, Pacific Northwest, Colorado, and locations along those routes, so please feel free to check out our pets and see if we have a transport spot close to you!
