My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Scrappy needs a home NOW.  His caregiver passed away in July.  Since then, he has been living on the front porch of the only home he knows, and being fed by neighbors.  Recently displaced by new tenants, Scrappy was removed from the porch and tied to a tree.  He’s endured many nights of cold weather.  A concerned neighbor contacted the ACO.  Temporary arrangements have been made to keep him warm.

Scrappy is neutered and up to date on shots, and weighs in at just 38 pounds.  He’s very much a gentleman.  He accepts new dogs in his space and doesn’t seem intrigued by cats.  Age is best-guessed to be eight years old.  This gentleman needs his own home and hearth.  PAdopt, foster to adopt, transport partners...all will be considered!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All animals are current on shots (DHLPP and rabies) and spayed or neutered. If a pet is too young to be altered, a spay/neuter contract defining a surgery date is required prior to adoption. Anyone interested in a adopting a pet must complete an adoption application. Reference checks and a home visit are also part of the application process. If the home check goes well, an appointment will be arranged to meet the potential companion. A contract is required for each adoption.
