Horus is a 3-month-old, 9.4-lb bundle of joy who’s ready to start his new life! This happy little pup with big green eyes was rescued from Dead Dog Beach in Puerto Rico by The Sato Project, and he’s been charming everyone he meets ever since.
Horus is currently safe and thriving in Puerto Rico and will be flying to Morristown, NJ on December 28th. If his family does not meet him at the airport he will be placed in foster in the tristate area!
He may be small, but his personality is huge — sweet, playful, curious, and always ready for cuddles. He loves people, loves to explore, and is learning all the puppy basics with his naturally sunny attitude.
Horus is searching for a loving family who will give him the safe, happy home he deserves. If you’re looking for a joyful, resilient puppy with a big heart and a bright future, Horus might just be your perfect match.

About The Sato Project:
The Sato Project has been working hard since 2011 to rescue and rehabilitate the stray dogs of Puerto Rico, known locally as “satos.” To date, we’ve saved over 8,000 dogs and are committed to stopping the overpopulation crisis with spay/neuter and vaccination programs. Your adoption helps us continue this vital work.

Additional adoption info
The Sato Project is dedicated to rescuing abused and abandoned dogs from Puerto Rico. There are currently an estimated 500,000 stray dogs roaming the island’s streets and beaches. With no access to food, fresh water, or veterinary care, many of these dogs are living daily lives of severe suffering. The municipal shelter system is drastically overwhelmed, with only five shelters across all 78 of the island’s municipalities. These shelters have a combined euthanasia rate of over 94%. For thousands of stray and abandoned dogs in the area in which we operate, we are their only hope.
