This helps Coastal Pet Rescue with pet care costs.
Punkin Pie is a very demure Southern lady. While she does love to be noticed, and belly rubs are her favorite, she isn't pushy for attention. She is housebroken and walks well on a leash, though she is easily spooked when going potty if a sound distracts her. She is not a fan of rain, so we would assume the same probably goes for other water (she isn't a big fan of baths either but that may get easier on her over time). As a single mother of four, she's been enjoying the decompression time after being separated from her pups. She is a professional couch napper, and while she has done ok traveling in a car when necessary, she really does consider herself a homebody. She does want to be in whatever room you're in, but is considerate enough to not always be underfoot.
Somewhere in the past, Punkin learned it is not ok to go potty on leash. She must have a safe area outside to use the bathroom as she is a wanderer and wants to go see and smell everything.
As Punkin is easily startled at times, we would recommend a home without small children. She is ok around dogs as long as they are not in her face.
Punkin Pie is Heartworm positive. Adopters should discuss heartworm protocols with their veterinarian to determine treatment. She is available for foster only until December 25th.
