Meet our pup Reaper. This gal can seem a little shy and may take a few attempts to decide if you are her friend, but once she does you are solid for life. Reaper has lived with cats and doggos and was friendly with both. She has not lived with kids, but the ones she met she loved. Reaper is still a pup at heart and willing to learn and try new things. She has the pawtential to be the best family friend ever and we hope you will give her a chance to show you what a sweetheart she is.

Each adoption consists of an interview, application, counseling session, and adoption contract. All adoptions are handled on a case-by-case basis, but most adoptions are first-come, first-served, and holds cannot be placed in advance for someone to meet with an animal. All animals are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Nevada Humane Society is a non-profit organization whose lifesaving work is made possible through donations. In 2007, NHS became a no-kill shelter and launched a bold effort to help Washoe County become a no-kill community. In 2014, NHS expanded lifesaving efforts to include Carson City.
