Pumpkin is a sweet and beautiful retired kitten maker, looking for her very own FOREVER home! Pumpkin and her kittens were brought in as strays, but with her loving personality, her foster mom knows she had to have a home in the past. She and her kittens have been in a foster home for the past few weeks. She was an amazing momma! Now it’s her turn to sit back and relax. She would love a home where she could get all of the loving pets and eat all of her yummy food she wants! Her foster mom never saw her play with toys, but that might be due to her having 6 kittens to raise.(her foster mom did make her a goody bag with some toys and a brush) She did like to wrestle with her kittens. While in her foster home she wasn`t around any other animals except for her kittens, PLEASE if you have animals already in your home, that you do a slow introduction. It may take days or months for everyone to get along. She didn’t like the Science Diet Dry cat food, so her foster mom bought her Purina ONE Tender Selects Blend with Real Chicken Digestive Formula Dry Cat Food and she liked it. So her bag of food will go home with her.( if any is left) She never wanted cat treats or wet food. She is litter boxed trained. PLEASE DON’T FORGET HER GOODY BAG AND ANY LEFTOVER FOOD!

HSSM is home to over 300 pets on any given day, most of which are looking for new forever homes! Your new best friend could be waiting at HSSM right now. Our beautiful, 41,000 square foot facility is currently open to the public. HSSM is open for adoptions Tuesday – Friday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. No appointment is necessary to adopt, however, adoptions are first-come, first served. You must come to HSSM to complete your adoption and make sure you bring a photo ID, as it is required to complete adoption paperwork.
Our adoptable animals page is self-updating and displays ALL of HSSM’s adorable adoptable pets from “pocket pets” to birds and of course the hundreds of dogs and cats currently calling HSSM home! See one you like? Make sure you note your favorite’s name and animal ID number so that HSSM staff and volunteers can easily find him/her when you come in!
Adoptions are cut off every day about 30 minutes prior to closing and possibly earlier if volume is high. Weekends are busy and you may have to wait more than an hour (especially in the afternoons) so please be prepared.
