Here's what the humans have to say about me:
PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.
Meet Penny! Penny is approximately 8 years old, 32 lbs currently and she might have some Spaniel in her mix! She was confiscated as part of a hoarding case and was living in a rabbit hutch. Penny was in rough shape when we got her - HW positive and with mammary tumors. She has been treated for heartworms and had surgery to remove her tumors and is now ready for adoption. In her foster home, she is working hard on her house training, crate training and leash walking.
She could go to a home with kids 10+, cats, and other dogs.
Her foster says, `Penny is a sweet, loving girl who got a very rough start in life. She was rescued from a hoarding situation and has been loving her life in a home with a family! She is incredibly sweet, friendly, loving, and just wants a couch to cuddle on. She has been great with our dog, cats, foster dog, and kids. I would suggest a home with older children who know how to respect her boundaries (doesn’t like to be wallowed on). She also loves to ride in the car and getting a pup cup. Cheese is her favorite thing ever! She would love a home where she can get lots of attention and snuggles. I would suggest a home where somebody is home most of the time or lets her tag along.`
She is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on January 2nd. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.
-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises. -Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt. - More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com
