My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Mater! Yep, just like the friendly tow truck from Radiator Springs. My siblings and I were born in some old, beat-up cars at an auto repair shop, but a kind human rescued us and brought us to a cozy foster home. I’m a fluffy black-furred little guy who’s curious, playful, and loves to explore—plus, I never say no to a good snuggle. I’m ready to find a forever home where I can bring a little extra vroom and lots of love!
*Note: For his health and development, Mater must go home with another kitten or into a home with a cat-friendly feline already in residence.

More about this rescue

HART is a hands-on volunteer organization working to make a difference in our community of San Luis Obispo County by rescuing abandoned animals, trapping and neutering stray and feral cats, and fostering sick and needy animals until we can find the best matched homes for them. Our unique cage-fee shelter allows cats to roam freely and socialize with each other. We are a no-kill shelter.
