If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
I got Mingo when she was 1 and she is roughly 4 years old. She is one of the most loyal dogs I’ve ever known. She is pitbull/whippit mix. She has the personality of a human and a very fun to be around. My schedule requires me to be away from home for most of the day and sometimes several days in a row and I don’t get to spend much time with her. It breaks my heart that she hasn’t gotten the attention that she needs for the past year. Mingo is very protective when new people(especially men)come into the house. She is scared of eye contact with new people so when I have her meet a new person I just tell the person to not pay attention to her for 5 minutes and then she will love you. She’s perfectly fine around smaller dogs but she didn’t get along with my parents female blue heeler. I’m willing to give her to the right person for free but I require the adopter to send me a video of her every 2 weeks for the next 6 months after she’s adopted. I want to make sure she’s in a loving home.
