Do you love bear hugs? Me too! I've been told that those aren't appropriate greetings, and I'm trying hard to learn that- could you help me?

I hope you aren't afraid of insects because I'm an adorable cuddle bug!

Choo-choo! The Weezy Express is coming through! I can pull like a freight train on walks and will need help working on my leash manners with my new family.

Meet and greets are done on a first-come/first-served basis. There may be a wait time during our busiest times, including the weekends.

We do not offer holds on any animals at this time.

Additional adoption info

Oregon Humane Society’s Portland and Salem campuses are open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days per week. Adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis.

When you come to the shelter and see a pet you are interested in meeting, please take note of the pet’s name and visit the front desk in the lobby. Our Customer Care team will be happy to assist you with the next steps.
