My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jabba!
Jabba is a handsome 5-year-old German Shepherd with a big personality and an even bigger love for life. After being abandoned at a mechanic shop, he’s more than ready to trade concrete floors for a cozy home and a family to call his own. This guy absolutely loves toys and gets so excited when it’s time for a walk. Hold on tight—Jabba has some serious horsepower and will happily pull you along! He’ll do best with someone willing to help him learn how to enjoy the scenery and stop to smell the flowers instead of dragging you past them. He would do best with OLDER dog-savvy kids. Jabba is an active, fun-loving boy who would thrive with structure, consistency, and plenty of outlets for his energy. Dog testing is pending. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s ready to go places with you, Jabba might be your perfect match.

Go meet their pets

Thank you for your interest in adopting from West Valley City/Taylorsville Animal Services! We would love for you to come to the shelter and meet your new family member.

You can come to the shelter Monday through Friday between 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm and walk through to see the animals we have available for adoption.

Please keep in mind that adoptions are first come, first serve. We often have a few pets that would make a good match for each family, so if the animal you are interested in is no longer available, you can still come in and meet some animals to see if there's a good fit.

You can see all of our animals at www.wvcpets.com [wvcpets.com]
