My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Abu!

Abu is a gentle, elderly miniature poodle mix looking for a peaceful place to enjoy his well-earned retirement. He’s an old gentleman with a calm spirit and a quiet charm that makes him incredibly easy to love.

Abu is both crate trained and house trained, so he fits seamlessly into a home routine without any fuss. He is also cat, dog, and kid-friendly! He enjoys lying next to you and soaking up quiet companionship, but he’s equally content to wander off and settle into his kennel when he wants some alone time.

Abu doesn’t ask for much—just a soft bed, a patient heart, and a home where he can feel safe and cherished. If you’re searching for a sweet, low-maintenance companion who will bring warmth and tenderness into your home, Abu is ready to spend his golden years by your side.

More about this rescue

We help animals who are in need by placing them in a loving foster home, providing medical care, and finding the perfect home for that animal to live in for the rest of its life. Tails of Hope takes mainly dogs, but has occasionally helped other animals in need. We take animals in through shelters and other rescue organizations, as strays, or as owner surrenders from people in our local communities.
