Scooter is the biggest boy in our toy group litter and would do well going to a new home to join your already existing young kitty. He lives with older cats in his foster home and enjoys playing with them, but he has not warmed up the two dogs who live there as well. Scooter and his littermates were trapped in an outdoor living situation with their mother when they were just 3 weeks old. They are all very loving and affectionate, but they still startle quite easily with sudden moves or loud noises. But they are also kittens that purr simply when spoken to by their foster humans and love to cuddle and snuggle with them, so we know it won't take very long for them to chillax in their new home. Scooter will probably do best with kids old enough to understand he needs time to get to know his new family. Trust is built with play, and of course his favorite foods, which we will send home with you when you adopt. It is absolutely the best feeling in the world to win over a slightly timid kitty and trust us, you will not be disappointed!
HART requires that young kittens be adopted in pairs unless you have an existing kitten or young cat at home. This policy is NOT based on a desire to increase our number of adoptions. Rather this ensures that the kittens we rescue, nurture, and love are adopted into homes that offer the best possible environment for their social development. Most rescue groups have similar policies regarding kittens.
