Full disclosure: Slinky is his foster family's favorite kitten! There is just something about him that is very endearing. Like his siblings in his toy litter, he has been in a HART foster home since he was three weeks old and has grown and blossomed quickly. Slinky is loving and affectionate like all of his siblings but will run and hide when there is a loud noise or a sudden movement. He comes back out quickly and wants your attention and cuddles. Slinky is looking to go home with Boomer ideally, although he would do OK in a home with another young cat. He is very very playful, leaping and running and frolicking with his litter mates. They are a very fun group and will delight you with their kitty Olympics for sure!
Slinky and company live with two dogs and while he is not a big fan of the dogs, he has learned to tolerate them...until they jump or bark. He enjoys the younger adult cats in his foster home and plays well with him. One of his favorite pastimes is carrying a mouse or soft ball in his mouth and dropping it in from of one of his siblings or foster home adult cats and then batting it around with them. Knowing that he will take a little time to relax in his forever home, we think slightly older kids who won't expect to carry and hold him the minute they meet him might be best. He will reward you in a little time with purrs and snuggles!
HART requires that young kittens be adopted in pairs unless you have an existing kitten or young cat at home. This policy is NOT based on a desire to increase our number of adoptions. Rather this ensures that the kittens we rescue, nurture, and love are adopted into homes that offer the best possible environment for their social development. Most rescue groups have similar policies regarding kittens.
