My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Max, a loving and friendly boy who is sure to steal your heart! With his affectionate nature, Max will always be there to offer a listening ear and a warm snuggle. He is an intelligent pup, always eager to learn and please his people. Max loves exploring the world and is up for any adventure you have in store. He is the perfect companion for long walks and even longer cuddles. Max is a true gentleman, always ready to lend a paw and offer his unwavering loyalty. Could you be the one to open your heart and home to this wonderful boy? There is nothing more loving that a hound! Max was brought in as a result of a divorce. He is a good boy. He is housebroken and has been good with other dogs. He is about 5 yrs old

More about this shelter

Although we are a small no kill shelter we adopt out approximately 370 animals a year. We do work with breed specific rescues also. We get alot of our animals from the local animal control that takes in strays from Branch and Hillsdale Counties which makes our animal control also a no kill shelter. We also have a volunteer base that does outreach work in the community to help provide food, dog houses, cat shelters and spay/neuter.
